As some of you know, I do communications work for a local company called Chaos Bringer Productions. To follow the theme of top 10 lists from the video personalities featured on Chaos Bringer Productions, I have decided to create some lists of my own. Because I have the pleasure of putting mine into a blog while the CBP personalities must do it in video format, my lists will generally be longer.

While I share many of the same thoughts, opinions, hobbies, and tastes as my friends and colleagues, I also differ from them in many ways.

This week, I would like to share a list of 100 songs I would highly recommend to you. Of course, not every song I like will be something you enjoy. And that's OK! There are plenty of songs or musicians I don't care for that others love. It is my hope that my list may introduce people to new songs/artists. I hope you enjoy this new series on my blog!

Music in My Life: A Brief Background

My dad listened to a lot of oldies, especially rock, R&B, and soul.

My mom listened to a lot of country, southern rock, and so on.

My neighbor growing up (a boy a few years older who seemed so cool to me) listened to classic rock and metal.

Once I was able to explore and discover my own musical tastes, I tended to listen to more rock, metal, industrial, etc. than other styles of music; however, I remained open to all music (and still do to this day).

Music has been at the very core of my being for as long as I can remember. I am always listening to music and singing along with it. It helps me through good times and bad.

I've said it before, and it bears repeating--music saved my life!

These songs are listed in no particular order. I can't imagine how much time I would have to spend narrowing these down in a specific order. I'm also going to try to avoid going into detail about why I love each song. I'd like to focus on the music itself.
